Amazing incident of thieves in Chhapra, stole eight lakh rupees by cutting ATM, then set the machine on fire

On Friday night, thieves cut the ATM with a gas cutter and took out Rs 8 lakh from it. According to the information, the ATM gang committed this crime in just 10 minutes and fled away. People came to know about this when smoke came out from the ATM and when they went and checked, they found that all the money had been cleared from the machine.

People startled when smoke comes out from ATM

According to the information received, SBI ATM is installed outside the house of Kanhaiya Singh, resident of Nehru Chowk in Nagar police station area. A sudden fire in the ATM was reported at around 11 pm last night. As soon as the smoke spread, Kanhaiya Singh was told by his neighbors that smoke was coming out from the ATM installed outside his house.

ATM connection closed after fire extinguished

When he went there and saw it with the people nearby, he informed the company that installed the ATM. After this, the officers and employees of the company quickly reached there and controlled the fire and closed the connection of the ATM.

Eight lakh rupees were deposited in the ATM

According to the information, eight lakh rupees were deposited in the ATM on Friday evening itself. Taking advantage of the cold and fog, a gang of ATM thieves stole money by cutting the ATM with the help of gas cutter. The ATM caught fire due to it being cut with a gas cutter and it was only when the smoke started spreading that the people nearby came to know about it.

There was no guard appointed at the ATM

This ATM machine remains open 24 hours. But there is no guard deployed on it. Kanhaiya Singh, whose ATM is installed outside his house, said that there was no guard posted at the ATM machine and it remained open 24 hours. Last night they were sleeping in the house. Then neighbors informed that a lot of smoke was coming from the ATM machine.

After which they came to know about this incident. By then the thieves had already committed the theft. Later, when the bank personnel arrived, it was found that eight lakh rupees were loaded in it. Saran SP Dr Gaurav Mangala said in this regard that Rs 8 lakh was stolen from the State Bank of India ATM by cutting it with a gas cutter in front of the Shiv Mandir located near Nehru Chowk in the city. Due to the ATM being cut with a gas cutter, there was a short circuit in it and smoke was coming out from it. After the information, the police team reached there and the matter is being investigated.
