After returning to America, she studied art at The Art Students League in New York and worked as a window dresser for several stores on Fifth Avenue. During this time, he had the opportunity to work with prominent artists such as Salvador Dalí and George Grosz.
In the early 1930s, Shinasi designed the cat-eye glasses, which brought him worldwide fame. The cat-eye glasses became a fashion icon and were worn by many celebrities and film actresses. Shinasi has also won several awards for its cat-eye glasses, including a Lord & Taylor American Design Award.
