Allowance of junior officers and personnel of Jharkhand Police will increase, proposal sent to Home Department

Various allowances can be increased for people working on 89,680 sanctioned posts in the state ranging from Inspector to Class IV policemen and driver policemen. Police Headquarters DIG (Budget) Dr. Shams Tabrez has prepared its proposal and sent it to the Deputy Secretary of Home Prison and Disaster Management Department. If according to this proposal various types of allowances are increased for the police officers and personnel of Jharkhand, then the state government will have to spend an additional Rs.63,85,76,470.

In fact, the Home Department had asked the Police Headquarters that what is the basis for revising the various allowances given to junior officers and personnel of Jharkhand Police? Also, what is the status of allowance revision of policemen in neighboring states? In light of this, information was taken from Bihar, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand and West Bengal from the level of police headquarters. It was learned that allowances have been revised in Bihar, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, New Delhi and Uttarakhand in the light of the Seventh Pay Commission.

Out of these only in the state of Bihar, in the light of the ‘Central Seventh Pay Commission’, the present rates of various allowances of policemen have been revised. In such a situation, there is a possibility that various types of allowances can be increased on the lines of Bihar. Ration money to Jharkhand Class IV policemen can be increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 2000 and uniform allowance can be increased from Rs 2500 to Rs 4000.
