All records of vehicle sales broken in November, highest registration of two-wheelers

New Delhi : During the festive season in November 2023, all records of vehicle sales in India were broken. During this period, passenger vehicles and two-wheelers were sold heavily. The result of this is that maximum number of two-wheelers have been registered in the passenger vehicle segment. The situation is that the month of November 2023 became a historic month in terms of vehicle sales. On the basis of vehicle sales, passenger vehicles and two-wheelers have set a new record in the month of November.

Vehicle sales reached record level in November

According to media reports, retail sales of vehicles in India reached a record level in November. During this period, sales of passenger vehicles and two-wheeler segments were highest. Vehicle dealers’ association FADA said on Tuesday that total retail sales increased by 18 percent to 28,54,242 units in November, which was 24,09,535 units in November 2022. Retail sales of passenger vehicles (PV) increased by 17 percent year-on-year to 3,60,431 units, from 3,07,550 units a year ago. Similarly, registration of two-wheelers increased by 21 percent to 22,47,366 units last month, which was 18,56,108 units in November last year.

November 2023 became a historic month

Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) President Manish Raj Singhania said that November 2023 has become a historic month for the Indian automotive retail industry. This month 28.54 lakh vehicles were sold. Earlier, maximum 25.69 lakh vehicles were sold in March 2020. He said that the two-wheeler and passenger vehicle segments created new records last month.

22.47 lakh two-wheelers were sold in November

Manish Raj Singhania said that the two-wheeler segment saw sales of 22.47 lakh vehicles. This is 1.77 lakh more than the previous high of March 2020. In the passenger vehicle category, 3.6 lakh units were sold, which is 4,000 units more than the previous high of October 2022. He said that PV sales increased last month due to Diwali and the release of new and attractive models. Retail sales of three-wheelers increased to 99,890 units last month, up 23 percent from November 2022. However, tractor sales declined 21 percent to 61,969 units in November, compared to 78,720 units in the same period a year ago.
