Aligarh: Principal of Homeopathic Medical College surrounded by corruption charges transferred, know the whole matter

Principal of Homeopathic Medical College was transferred due to corruption case. Yogendra Singh Mahur, Principal of Government Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Aligarh, was facing six charges of corruption, out of which 5 were found true. On the report of the Director, the Principal has been transferred to the Government Homeopathic College, Kanpur.

Was working on the post of Principal since 2018

After the operation of the Government Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, the Department of AYUSH had handed over the responsibility of Principal to Practice of Medicine Professor Yogendra Singh Mahur. From 2018 till now he has been working on the post of Principal. During this period, his exploits remained in the news from the district to the government. Former MLA Dalveer Singh and employee’s wife Lakshmi Devi had complained to the government about the misdeeds of the college principal. Taking this seriously, the government had set up an investigation. Homeopathic director Dr Arvind Kumar Verma was named the investigating officer. After about 6 months of investigation the principal was found guilty.

Allegation of growing paddy crop in the name of herbal garden in college campus

The side of the college and the institution was not properly presented before the inspection team regarding the staff, equipment and other resources available in the college. Without obtaining the permission of the Directorate of Government, a committee of contractual and regular teachers was formed at the college level, after getting their recommendations, accounts were opened in SBI, money was deposited in it, various buildings of the college and the institution were inaugurated on their own, and stone plaques were installed, without the permission of the Government. And after obtaining the permission of the Directorate, security guards and sweepers for the hostel were deployed through the agency. Money was collected from the girl students in the name of security. The allegation of growing paddy crop in the name of herbal garden in the college campus was found to be true.

Punitive action will be taken after the recommendation of Public Service Commission, Prayagraj

Deputy Secretary of the Directorate, Prem Prakash has issued a letter, transferring Principal Yogendra Singh Mahur from his present post and posting him on the post of Professor Practice of Medicine in Government Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Kanpur. In this case, the order for punitive action against the professor will be issued after the recommendation of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Prayagraj.
