Aligarh: The police has taken major action against illegal storage of firecrackers before Diwali. Actually, there was a plan to sell these firecrackers during Diwali. But on the information of an informer, the police conducted a raid on the firecracker warehouse and recovered the illegal stock. Materials for making firecrackers were also recovered. Five people have been identified in the incident, who are absconding since the incident. Police have registered a case against five accused under 4/5 Explosive Substances Act 1908. The incident took place in Kumharan area of Chharra police station. As part of Operation Prahar, a campaign being run by Aligarh Senior Superintendent of Police for prevention of crime and arrest of criminals in the district, Chharra police station, on the information of an informer, conducted a raid in Mohalla Kumharan and found about 630 kg of unfired crackers being manufactured illegally. And 237 kg of country made firecrackers have been recovered.
Five accused absconding
About 66.5 kg paper and twine, 33 kg black gunpowder, 10 kg potash, 20 kg sulfur and 35 kg sand have been recovered. In this regard, a case has been registered at Chharra police station under crime number 427/23 section 4/5 of the Explosive Substances Act 1908. The accused have been identified. In which a case has been registered against Ashraf, Anish, Rahish Ahmed, Sattarpal and Naushad. All of them are absconding. Efforts are being made to arrest the absconding accused.
Report illegal firecrackers to the police
Chharra area officer Shubhendu Singh said that about one thousand twenty kilograms of firecrackers have been recovered. Which includes both ready and semi-finished crackers. Five accused have come to light in this incident. Who is absconding from the spot. Two police teams have been formed to arrest them. Area Officer Shubhendu Singh has appealed to the people that if they get any information about illegal firecracker warehouse, they should immediately inform the police station, so that loss of life and property can be prevented. .The confidentiality of the informant will be maintained.
