In the same hostel itself, in the month of July, NIA had arrested Faizan, a resident of Jharkhand, on charges of having links with the terrorist organization ISIS. NIA has again become alert regarding this incident. According to sources, the NIA team has searched the hostel room but the local officers are maintaining silence on the matter.
19-year-old Faizan Ansari, who had come to study at AMU, was arrested by the National Investigation Agency on charges of links with ISIS. NIA claimed that he was taking the youth on the path of radicalism and preparing the base of ISIS cadre in India. NIA also recovered objectionable material from his residence in Aligarh. The NIA team had arrested him after searching his house, rented accommodation and his acquaintances in Jharkhand and UP.
Faizan is a resident of Lohardaga area of Jharkhand. He was living on rent in a hostel in Jamalpur of Civil Lines police station area in Aligarh. Faizan had taken admission in AMU in 2022. He came to AMU to study BA. In this episode, NIA had raided the residence of Dr. Fazle Haq, resident of Farenda, Maharajganj.
Dr. Fazle Haq’s ANM wife and son and daughter who returned from South Africa were interrogated. After interrogation, NIA also seized laptop and documents from the house. The same daughter Shahida Mamun is married to Talha who lives in Siwan, Bihar. Talha does a fashion designing course in Aligarh. Son-in-law wanted to open a clothes shop in Farenda of Tehala Maharajganj.
According to NIA, the hostel where Talha lived while studying in Aligarh. Recently, NIA had arrested Faizan from there itself. It is believed that NIA reached Aligarh to investigate regarding this connection, however, SSP said that NIA has not contacted us, nor have we received any kind of information.
However, the AMU administration has not yet taken any action against Faizan, a resident of Jharkhand, who is involved in anti-national activities by joining ISIS. In the month of July, the National Investigation Agency had arrested Faizan from Jharkhand. Faizan is accused of taking the youth on the path of radicalism. Faizan had taken admission in AMU in 2022-23 and was studying there.
Meanwhile, AMU administration has also maintained silence on the entire matter. AMU administration has not yet taken any action against the student Faizan arrested by NIA. NIA has concrete information regarding the connection between Faizan and Talha. But Talha has not come forward after Faizan’s arrest. The big question is when did Faizan and Talha meet in Aligarh and for how long they stayed together.
The same thing Talha had said at the time of Faizan’s arrest. Where was Talha doing fashion designing course? Answers to many questions are yet to be found. However, Aligarh Muslim University’s Proctor Professor Mohammad Wasim said that no letter has been received yet regarding action taken by NIA against Faizan. Due to which no action could be taken against Faizan.
