Aligarh: DM and SSP came to know the condition of farmers troubled by floods in Tappal, assured of 24-hour security

Aligarh : In Aligarh, the District Magistrate and SSP inspected the area regarding the flood in half a dozen villages of Tappal development block. The District Magistrate arrived to inspect the rural areas situated on the banks of Yamuna river. At the same time, the District Magistrate says that water has come in the fields and on the roads, but has not entered the house.

Yamuna’s water level above the danger mark

Due to the increase in the water level of Yamuna, water has come in the village and in the fields. A flood post has been made functional in the area. District Magistrate Indra Vikram Singh says that the situation has not yet come to replace the population. The villagers have been alerted. Although the water level will rise further. Due to the flood in many areas, the crop of the farmers has been destroyed, and somewhere the villagers are worried about the animals and their surroundings. However, the villagers accused the administration of giving false assurances. On Thursday, the District Magistrate reached the flood affected areas.

The District Magistrate says that water has come in the fields and on the roads, but has not entered the house. The District Magistrate further said that the water level of Yamuna will increase further. Due to which vigilance has been increased. However, in view of water entering the populated area, flood posts have been made. Same, the District Magistrate is claiming to make arrangements for food and drink.

However, the farmers are facing more problems due to crop failure and arrangement of fodder for the animals. District Magistrate Indra Vikram Singh is claiming to have a proper solution to the problems of the villagers. The District Magistrate said that as the need arises, more arrangements will be made. He said that if there is a need to shift the population, he will make arrangements for that too. In view of security, an alert has been issued in the village on the banks of Yamuna.

At the same time, SSP Kalanidhi Naithani told that resources, action plans, flood outposts, shelter sites have been activated immediately in case of flood situation. He told that the flood situation is under control. The water level of the river has increased, but the people of the village are safe. Water level beyond danger after releasing three lakh cusecs of water

During the inspection, the Irrigation Department was directed that all kinds of concrete arrangements should be made in the potentially flood-affected villages. Keeping in view the rising water level of Yamuna river, the SDM and Tehsildar were instructed to continuously monitor the water level in the coastal villages and disseminate the information. He said that the district and tehsil administration is committed that no problem and loss of lives will be allowed.

Keeping alert, instructions have been given to the employees at all the flood outposts to keep a constant vigil. The District Magistrate said that when more than 3 lakh cusecs of water is released from Okhla Barrage, Yamuna crosses the danger level in Tehsil Khair. Nine flood outposts have been set up in the potentially affected villages. 24×7 staff has been deployed. A continuous appeal is being made to the families settled on the banks of the Yamuna to cooperate with each other in times of disaster and go to higher places so that the damage can be reduced.
