Aligarh On the occasion of Dev Diwali, Maha Aarti was performed at Achal Tal Sarovar and about two lakh lamps were lit. During this time, prayers were offered to Lord Ram for the prosperity and happiness of the world. The Shri Ram temple on Achal Tal and the grand rangoli of Lord Ram along with the surrounding lake were illuminated with the lights of lamps. A scene like Dev Diwali was seen on the lines of Kashi at Achal Sarovar. Dev Diwali festival was celebrated with great pomp in the Gilharaj temple of Achal Tal. According to Mahant Kaushal Nath of the temple, on one hand the women lit lamps of faith all around the Achal Sarovar. On the other hand, in the Maha Aarti, prayers were prayed to the Lord for the prosperity of the world. The grand rangoli depicting Shri Ram temple was the center of attraction. With whom there was a competition to take selfies. A crowd of people gathered at Achal Sarovar. People kept lighting lamps. The cultural program enthralled the audience. Meanwhile, various types of firecrackers were also burst. People came from far-flung areas to see the view of Achal Sarovar. Lamps were donated to many temples including Gilharaj Temple, Ancient Ganesh Temple, Parshuram Temple on Achal Sarovar itself.

Bhajan evening and cultural program were also organized on this occasion. In which the devotees kept immersing themselves in the triveni of songs, music and devotion till late night. Attractive rangoliya was made in Achal Sarovar on Dev Diwali. Rangolis were decorated at various places of Lord Shri Ram. At the same time, Ram temple building also remained the center of attraction among the rangolis. More than 2 lakh lamps were lit at Achaltal. Lamps were also lit on the ghat of Achal Sarovar. During this time the crowd of people gathered. The rain hindered the cultural programme. But people’s enthusiasm remained.
