National Film Awards 2023 is one of the biggest award functions for people associated with the film industry. In this award ceremony, well-known personalities of the film industry were honored for their excellent work. The film awards were announced on 24th August. Today on October 17, President Draupadi Murmu honored the winners of the 69th National Film Awards. Many superhit stars from Bollywood to South film industry participated in this award show.

President Draupadi Murmu on Tuesday presented the film industry’s highest Dadasaheb Phalke Award to veteran actress Waheeda Rehman. Waheeda Rehman is the eighth female artist to receive this highest award of Indian cinema. After receiving the award at the 69th National Film Awards ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan here, Waheeda Rehman dedicated it to her beloved film industry and its various departments.

Rahman, who reached the stage amidst thunderous applause, explained how film making is a process of mutual cooperation. After receiving the award, he said, I am very honored and grateful. But whatever I have achieved today is because of my beloved film industry. Fortunately, I got a chance to work with top directors, producers, filmmakers, technicians, writers, dialogue writers, music directors and composers.

Actor Allu Arjun was given his first National Film Award for his brilliant performance in the film Pushpa. The actor was honored for his role of Pushpa Raj in the blockbuster film Pushpa.
