Alert: Surveillance increased on India-Nepal border in view of Prime Minister Modi’s arrival in Ayodhya

Maharajganj (Language): In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival in Ayodhya, the state police and Sashastra Seema Bal along with intelligence agencies have increased vigil on the India-Nepal border. Officials said that on December 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the inauguration program of Shri Ram Airport in Ayodhya, keeping in mind that vigil has been increased on the India-Nepal border. He said that apart from the inauguration of the airport in Ayodhya, surveillance has also been increased keeping in mind the Republic Day and the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram and the inauguration of the temple on 22 January 2024.

Deputy Inspector General of Sashastra Seema Bal Gorakhpur, Akhileshwar Singh, said that to prevent movement of unwanted elements in the area, security agencies have been asked to ensure the identity of any person before allowing him to cross the border. Apart from the main roads, cameras have been installed at Sashastra Seema Bal posts. Search dog squads and a platoon of the women’s wing have also been deployed. Metal detectors have been installed at Sonauli and Thoothibari posts on the India-Nepal border.
