In the order issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Patna City and Patna Sadar, it has been said that since January 29, students and youth organizations are protesting regarding the Railway Recruitment Examination. The message is being spread through various groups on social media to mobilize crowds for violent and aggressive demonstrations at many places, stop railway operations, damage government and private property and organize students/youth to commit arson. . In such a situation, there is a possibility of loss of life and property and disruption of normal life. Therefore, there is a need to stop any kind of unnecessary crowd and demonstration at public places, intersections and railway stations. In such a situation, prohibitory order has been imposed under section 144.

  • Disrupting rail and road traffic in any way will be punishable

  • Dharna, demonstration, procession etc. will be banned

  • Circulating any kind of inflammatory message will be prohibited

  • Inflammatory speech etc. through loud speaker will be banned

  • Carrying and displaying any kind of weapon will be punishable

  • Damaging government or private property in any way will be especially punishable.

  • Gathering of five or more persons at one place will be prohibited

What do students say

In fact, the protesting students say that after six years, the Railway Recruitment Board has released vacancies for 5696 Assistant Lock Pilot posts across the country. Earlier in the year 2018, the number of vacancies for this post was 64,371. This time at least 56 thousand vacancies should have been released. If their demands are not met then a widespread agitation will be started. Students say that there are only 38 vacancies for the post of Assistant Lock Pilot in East Central Railway, whereas there are 243 assembly seats and 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.

Within the last one year, 1.5 lakh recruitment has been done on various posts including ALPS, Station Master, Train Manager, Junior Engineer, Technician, Track Maintainer, Clerk. Now Railways will conduct restoration every year in the month of January. For this, a list of vacant posts will be sought from all the zones by the Railway Board.
