The complaint was given on August 12 by Pankaj Aggarwal, owner of Siddhidatri Jewellers. In which it was told that on June 26, a person named Ketan Soni had messaged and called him from an unknown number to buy silver jewelery from Ahmedabad. The businessman was not familiar with him, hence he refused to deliver the goods. On which the accused introduced the director of Pitambara Express Service Private Limited Courier Company and said that he knows him. You send the goods to me through them and I will pay you. After this, the businessman talked to Rajkumar alias Raju, director of Pitambara Express Service Private Limited Courier Company, and Rajkumar told that I know Ketan Soni and many of his parcels keep coming to me. You send me the goods and I will deliver the goods to them only after taking payment.

After this, believing the prince’s words, the businessman bought 5.732 kg of silver jewelery on June 25, the value of which was said to be around Rs 256000. So Rajkumar alias Raju called and was told that your payment has arrived. On June 28, the businessman bought about 7.780 kg of silver whose price was said to be around Rs 225,000. Again it was sent to Ketan Soni’s firm Krishna Jewelers through courier. But both times the trader received fake silver instead of payment, after which the trader complained to the police station.

ACP Sukanya Sharma said that based on the complaint of the businessman, we started investigation and with the help of Crime Branch Ahmedabad, three people have been arrested. In which Kiriti Bhai Jayanti Bhai Sathwara, son of Jayanti Bhai Sonelal, resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, second is Mehul Ashok Kumar Soni, son of Harikishan Das, resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat and third is Vipul Chaman Lal Prajapati, son of Chamanlal, resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The police recovered 2 kilograms of fine silver, 4.5 grams of white metal, ₹ 100,000 in cash and three mobile phones from them.
