Agra University postponed BAMS exam as soon as ED investigation started. Future of students is at stake.

Agra: Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University has put the future of the students at stake due to the absence of Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) examination. This five and a half year undergraduate program consists of four and a half years of core curriculum and one year of internship. Students who have taken admission in this course after completing higher secondary education are worried. BAMS examinations were to start from August 5, but suddenly the university canceled the examination. As a result, students who came from other districts for the examination also had to face a lot of problems. Angry students created a ruckus in the university. Paliwal Road was also blocked. The police had to use force. Even after more than a month has passed, the new schedule of BAMS examination has not been announced.

ED took the copies along for investigation

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating whether the copies of the medical examination have been changed. No result of ED’s investigation has been received yet. Until there is any result of its investigation, the examinations will remain postponed. BAMS students are facing a lot of problems due to non-examination. Their session was already running late, and now due to the absence of exams, it is getting further delayed. BAMS examinations were to be held on 5th August, but on 4th August the ED team reached the university to investigate. The investigation continued throughout the night, and after this the team took away 306 copies of BAMS.

Candidates were staying on rent for the exam

More than a month has passed since the team took the copies, but till now no solution has been found. Due to this, the examinations have not been conducted till now. The university is being contacted by BAMS students, asking when the university will conduct the BAMS examinations. But no fixed date has been released yet. Rajat, a resident of Kasganj and a student of BAMS, says that his examinations have been canceled due to the negligence of the university. The university is not even giving any specific date. We had taken a room on rent in Agra after the announcement of the exam date, due to which our money has been completely wasted and our time is also being wasted. In this view, there is no one to listen to us.
