Agra: The rewarded criminal, who booked a car from Delhi and killed the driver, was arrested in an encounter, this is how the case was revealed.

Agra News: A person wanted with a reward of Rs 25,000 in the case of murder and robbery of a taxi driver opened fire on the police and surveillance team during checking near Bhadrauli Chambal Canal under Pinahat police station area in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday night. In retaliatory firing, the miscreant was shot in the leg and injured. The police team has recovered a pistol and a bike along with cartridges from the accused miscreant. The injured criminal was immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. Earlier on Tuesday, after revealing the murder of a taxi driver, the police took action by sending three accused to jail. Pawan alias Jhepa, the main accused who shot the taxi driver, was absconding on whom the police had announced a reward. Last two weeks ago, on 25th September, a male skeleton was shining in a pit in the field under Pinahat police station area, on the banks of Chambal river ghat. On which people had informed the police. Police reached the spot and sent the male skeleton of the unknown youth to Agra post mortem. The report revealed the murder of an unknown youth by shooting him in the head. On which the police registered a case against unknown persons on Saturday last week in the case of murder of a young man and started investigation. The surrounding police stations and districts including Agra were informed about the matter.

Two weeks ago, a taxi was found abandoned in a damaged condition near village Holipura in Thana Bah area. Which was confiscated by the police. After identifying the taxi, the taxi driver’s brother-in-law Gajendra Bah lodged a missing complaint at the police station. The body of the youth was identified as Lalta Prasad, son of Omprakash, age 33, resident of Horchi police station, Nidholikala Etah.

After identification, police station in-charge Bah Kuldeep Dixit and police station in-charge Pinahat Neeraj Panwar along with their police team and the joint team of surveillance in-charge Gaurav Balyan searched the CCTV cameras to unravel the case, in which four suspicious youths were seen. On this, the police team, taking the matter seriously, identified the murder accused and arrested three of the murder accused from different places – Vishwa Prakash alias Golu alias Golu, son of Khubiram, resident of Raipura police station, Nibora, Sanjay son of Siyaram, Nichakheda, Pratappur Nibohra, Karan alias Ramnaresh Bijkauli. Mulayam Singh, resident of Jagmohanpura, who bought the looted mobile along with the police station, was arrested.

The main accused, Pawan alias Jhenpa, son of Ramakant, resident of Jagmohanpura Hall, resident of Rajkheda Dholpur Rajasthan, the main accused who shot, had absconded. Police had recovered three pistols and half a dozen live cartridges used in the murder. During police interrogation, the accused had told that Lalta Prasad’s taxi was booked for Morena from Badarpur border of Faridabad. An attempt was made to rob the car on the way. To commit the crime, he shot taxi driver Lalta Prasad in the head and killed him. On Tuesday, the team of Pinahat-Bah police station and Service Lance revealed the incident of murder of the youth.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Somendra Meena had given information disclosing the murder of the youth and the incident. He told that after booking the car, they murdered the car driver for the purpose of robbery and ran away after robbing the car. When the car got stuck in a ditch near Holi Pura in Bah, the robbers ran away leaving it there. Action was taken to send the arrested accused to jail. And higher police officials had announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on the absconding accused. Three police teams were trying to catch the wanted accused. Late on Wednesday night, information was received from the informer about the presence of a rewarded criminal in the area.

On this, police station in-charge Pinahat Neeraj Panwar, police station in-charge Bah Kuldeep Dixit, surveillance in-charge Gaurav Balyan started checking near Bhadrauli with the police team. On which an attempt was made to stop the suspect on a bike, on which he opened fire at the police. In which a bullet entered the jacket of police station in-charge Pinahat Neeraj Panwar, in which he narrowly escaped.

The police team defended itself and fired back. In the police encounter, the accused was shot in the left leg and he got injured and fell down. After laying siege, the police team recovered a pistol with live cartridges and three shells from the accused Pawan alias Jhenpa, resident of Jagmohanpura Rajkheda Dholpur, who wanted a reward in the case of robbery and murder of a taxi driver. The injured Inami was immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment.
