When the steamer did not come out despite many efforts, the passengers started panicking and started screaming. After this the help of Forest Department vote was taken. After about 2 hours of effort, all the passengers were taken out safely. In the entire matter, the negligence of the employees and contractors operating the steamer came to light. If rescue work was not done soon, a major accident could have occurred.

Let us tell you that a free steamer is being operated by the PWD department for the movement of passengers from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh on the Chambal river ghat adjacent to Pinahat town area. The steamer is operated by a private contractor and his employees. Every day thousands of passengers cross the river with the help of steamers. Around 5:00 pm on Tuesday evening, about 150 passengers boarded a steamer to go from the Uttar Pradesh border towards Madhya Pradesh. After this the steamer was being taken across the Chambal river. During this time, the staff operating the steamer took it near the permanent bridge under construction in the middle of Chambal river. The steamer got stuck in the rebar of the bridge. Even after trying for a long time, when the steamer did not come out, there was an outcry among the passengers sitting in it.

The negligence of the steamer operator is coming to light

The negligence of the steamer operator was also seen here. In which the steamer was being taken out over the concrete bridge pillar, putting the lives of the passengers at risk. Even before this, negligence of steamer contractors and employees has been seen. But no concrete action was ever taken against them. Because of which this time also they put the lives of the passengers in danger. When the steamer did not leave for a long time, the passengers were brought to the shore little by little with the help of a boat of the Forest Department. After about 2 hours of struggle, all the passengers reached the shore safely. Only then did the department and the passengers heave a sigh of relief.
