Agra News: The plan of Agra Smart City seems to be being sabotaged by the Municipal Corporation officials. A similar case has been seen in Jagdishpura area of the city. The residents of Rahul Nagar here have accused the Municipal Corporation and DUDA officials of negligence and ignoring the problem of waterlogging and dirty water in the area. The regional people have started an indefinite strike by sitting in dirty water with the former councilor.
Complaints were made to the authorities several times in three years
In fact, people living in Rahul Nagar in Jagdishpura police station area had complained several times to the Municipal Corporation about the problem of smelly water and water logging. The former councilor had also informed the authorities about this problem several times. But this problem has persisted in the area for about 3 years. After this, the regional people finally started a strange kind of protest to open the eyes of the Municipal Corporation.
The local people of Rahul Nagar sat in the dirty water filled on the streets under the leadership of former councilor Shyamveer Singh. And started raising slogans against the Municipal Corporation and DUDA. Protesting regarding the problem of dirty water. He says that until the Municipal Corporation does not solve our problem. We will continue to sit on indefinite strike like this.
The people of the area are sitting with the former councilor in the dirty and smelly water for an indefinite strike. They have pamphlets with all kinds of slogans written in their hands. Former councilor of the area, Shyamveer Singh said that when he was a councilor, he informed the Municipal Corporation about the problems of the area many times. But no hearing took place in the Municipal Corporation. He told that the drains made here by the Municipal Corporation. They have not been constructed properly. Due to which the water filled in the drain gets backed up and fills people’s houses and the streets of the area. Because of which it has become difficult for people to live amidst the bad smell. The former councilor said that the present councilor has also complained about this problem to the Municipal Corporation several times. But the Municipal Corporation officials are sitting as agents of the opposition and no one is listening to them.
