Agra. Agra Police had an encounter with a criminal who was eluding the police by committing robberies in Agra and Mathura. During the encounter the police caught the miscreant. During the encounter with the miscreant, firing took place in which he got injured by the bullet. About 43 cases of robbery, dacoity and gangsterism are registered against the criminal arrested by the police in Agra and Mathura. According to the information given by the police, on Monday night, information was received from the informer that the criminal Neeraj alias Narendra, resident of village Ral police station, Jait district, Mathura New Agra police station area, is planning to commit some crime near Poiya Ghat. After this, the police started laying siege to the miscreant. The police was laying siege around Poiya Ghat, during which the miscreant was seen coming on a bike. The police tried to stop him but the miscreant slipped from the bike and started firing at the police. In such a situation, the police also fired back in which the miscreant was shot in the right leg. He was injured by this. After this the police admitted him to SN Medical College.
Gold chain snatched in Nirbhay Nagar on 27 October
DCP Suraj Rai told that on October 27, Neeraj alias Narendra had snatched a gold chain from a boy in Nirbhay Nagar of New Agra police station area. After which a case was registered in New Agra police station. On October 21, a robber had snatched a gold chain from a woman under Kamla Nagar police station area. A case was registered in this regard at Kamla Nagar police station. After being injured in the encounter, the accused was admitted to SN Medical College. And two looted chains have been recovered from him. Besides, the motorcycle used in the robbery, fake number plate, a pistol and a live cartridge have been recovered.
