A Brahmin community of Agra considers Ravana as their idol and worships Ravana. Like every year, on the ninth date of Navratri, Dashanan Ravana was worshiped along with Mother Goddess, Lord Ram in the housing development area of the city. After reciting Shiv Tandav Stotra, an appeal was made to the local people to imbibe the ideals of Dashanan and kill Ravana in the form of darkness and greed hidden in their minds and not to burn the great Pandit and supreme devotee of Shiva.
Ravana never saw Mother Sita above his feet – Madan Mohan
Dr. Madan Mohan Sharma of Lankapati Dashanan Maharaj Puja Committee disguised himself as Dashanan and prayed to Lord Shiva from Shiva Tandav Stotra. Along with this, he made his one lakh sons and 1.25 lakh grandchildren cross the Vaikuntha ocean in the hands of Lord Vishnu, Sheshnag and Rudra incarnation Bajrangbali, all the gods and the saint souls who formed Ram’s army. Such a great man should be worshiped and lessons should be learned from his life.
Therefore appealed to boycott Ravana Dahan
He said that Ravana Dahan should be boycotted to save the environment from pollution and to avoid insulting a great Brahmin. He also said that in Hindu culture, once a person is cremated, he is not cremated again. Dr. Madan Mohan Sharma, who was present in the form of Anand Joshi as Dashanan, was present in the program in the form of Shivji and offered prayers by reciting Shiv Tandav Stotra.
