Agra News: Miscreants who killed cattle herder have encounter with police, 4 arrested

On December 5, a cattle herder was murdered in Agra by tying his hands and legs. When the police started investigation in this case, they achieved success late on Friday night and arrested four criminals involved in the murder during the encounter. Two miscreants have been injured in the encounter, they were shot in the leg. The police have admitted both the miscreants to the emergency for treatment. Also, illegal weapons have been recovered from them. Elderly Mahesh Chandra, living in Bhagwati Bagh of Trans Yamuna area of ​​the police station, lived with his brother Suresh Chand and sister. Mahesh used to sleep every day on a cot in the animal enclosure located in front of his house. Last Monday, around 3:30 am, his sister woke up and opened the door of her house. But the door was locked from outside. The door was closed with a cloth. Somehow when she came out, she did not see her brother in the enclosure. When she reached nearby, her brother’s body was lying in a pool of blood on a cot. After which he made noise. In such a situation, many people gathered at the spot and the police were informed about the incident.

Suspects identified on the basis of CCTV footage

DCP City, ACP Chhatta and police station also reached the spot and started investigation. The footage from nearby CCTV cameras was seen. In which the suspects were also identified. After this the police started searching for the criminals. DCP West Sonam Kumar said that information was received from the informer that the criminals involved in the murder of the cattle herder were planning a theft and robbery incident with a loader tempo towards Kashiram Awas Yojana Islamnagar Teddy Bagiya. Based on the information, the station in-charge reached the spot with the force through Trans Yamuna and a cordon was laid to arrest the miscreants. But the miscreants opened fire on the police party with the intention of killing them. In such a situation, the police also had to take retaliatory action and in this action, two accused Salman alias Sultan son of Salim, resident of Rahul Nagar Bodla police station Jagdishpura and Amit alias Ankit Tomar son of Rakesh Tomar Baipur police station Sikandra were shot in the leg, due to which they got injured.

Injured criminal admitted to hospital

Two other criminals Imran alias Imran son of Sharif Qureshi resident of Mahaveer Nala police station Mantola and Sonu alias Sanu son of Salim resident of Naulakha police station Sadar Bazar Agra who is a tempo driver were arrested from the spot. DCP West Sanam Kumar said that the injured miscreants were sent to SN Emergency for treatment. Two 315 bore pistols, four live cartridges, two spent cartridges, a loader tempo, iron rod, spanner, wrench, hammer, screwdriver and other tools used in theft have been recovered from these miscreants.
