In the early morning in Bhagwati Bagh of Trans Yamuna police station in Agra, an elderly cattle herder who was sleeping in his house was killed by hitting his head. When the family members woke up around 3:30 in the morning, they saw the dead body of the old man lying on the cot. After this the incident was informed to the regional police. In such a situation, the police station force including DCP City reached the spot. Police have sent the body for post-mortem. Also, footage of nearby CCTV cameras is being watched. It is being told that thieves had come at night to steal the buffalo. During this time, the old man was murdered due to his protest.
Dead body found covered in blood on cot
DCP City Suraj Rai told that Mahesh Chandra Upadhyay lived with his brother Suresh Chand and sister in Tedhi Bagiya Bhagwati Bagh. Mahesh used to sleep every day on a cot in the animal enclosure in front of his house. His two buffaloes are also tied here. On Monday night at around 3:30, his sister woke up and opened the door of her house. But the door was locked from outside and was tied with a cloth. In such a situation, he called his brother but he did not get any response. When he climbed the roof and looked, the brother was not on his cot. Somehow Sunita opened the door of the house and when she came out, she saw blood lying near the cot. And one of the buffaloes was also missing. When he searched for his brother, Mahesh Chandra’s body was found in a bloody condition on a cot at some distance from the house. Mahesh Chand’s hands and legs were tied and a cloth was stuffed in his mouth. And blood was coming out of his head. Seeing her brother’s bloody body, Sunita started making noise. Due to which the people in the neighborhood also woke up.
Police engaged in investigation
On receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and started investigation. DCP City Suraj Rai also reached the spot. It is being told that the thieves who had come to steal the buffalo at night have killed the old man. At the same time, the police is also investigating other Anglos in the murder. The street where cattle herder Mahesh was murdered is deep inside. Before reaching Mahesh’s house, many more buffaloes were also tied in the street. If the killers had come to steal the buffalo, they could have stolen other buffaloes too. But why did he steal the buffalo from Mahesh’s enclosure and what were the reasons for killing Mahesh. The police is busy investigating this matter. It is being told that the buffalo which the thieves had taken with them. She was found at some distance from the house. Police are investigating the nearby CCTV cameras. And DCP City has formed teams to uncover the murder.
