Agra: Negligence is being taken near Taj Mahal, dust blown from stone cutting is polluting the world famous heritage.

Agra News: Taj Mahal has also been affected due to air pollution in Agra. Due to pollution, it is becoming difficult to see the Taj Mahal from a distance amidst the deep haze. Amidst the continuously increasing levels of pollution, the district administration became active and a round of meetings started to improve the health of the air. The Commissioner and District Magistrate gave strict instructions to the departments. However, this has remained only a paper order. The situation is that stone cutting work is being done at Dussehra Ghat behind Taj Mahal. Due to this work, the dust flying is reaching the Taj Mahal. Due to this the problems have increased again. The pollution level is likely to increase further due to fireworks on Diwali. In such a situation, the problem may increase due to lack of attention from the officials. The issue of damage to the Taj Mahal due to pollution has come to light many times before, but no permanent solution has been found.

The repair work of tower number five of Taj Mahal in Agra is being done on the banks of Dussehra Ghat. For this, stones have been sought from Fatehpur Sikri. These stones are being cut here with machines. Besides, grinding work is also being done by machine. Because of this, a lot of dust is flying here. And this dust is reaching the Taj Mahal. Whereas the repair work of the tower of Taj Mahal is being done. CBCB sensor is also installed on this tower to measure the surrounding temperature and pollution. In this regard, Dr. Rajkumar Patel, Superintendent of Archeology of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), has said that an investigation will be conducted. It is being said that the stones here come already cut. They are given shape only by chisel and hammer.

Let us tell you that the air quality index of Agra has been increasing very rapidly since few days. Government officials are very worried and in such a situation, instructions have been issued to stop air pollution by holding a meeting. It has been asked to keep the construction material covered and sprinkle water every two hours near the Taj Mahal. Along with this, it has been asked to pour water on the trees and plants, so that the dust accumulated on them can be removed. Also, due to increasing AQI in the city, GRAP has been implemented till February next year.

Similarly, a few days ago, the work of demolishing the building near the emergency of SN Medical College was going on. But, the rules were being ignored in the demolition. After this the District Magistrate gave a warning and a green net was installed on the spot.
