Agra: Fierce fire broke out in a warehouse of foil and scrap due to short circuit, goods worth lakhs burnt to ashes

Agra: A massive fire broke out in three godowns of foil and scrap in Agra, UP on Sunday night due to a short circuit. Due to which goods worth lakhs of rupees were burnt to ashes in the godown. At the same time, due to the fire in the godown, the nearby shop owners came in panic and reached the spot. For a long time, efforts were made to stop the fire from reaching the shops. On the information of the incident, 10 fire engines of the fire brigade reached the spot. The fire was brought under control by around 4:00 am. After controlling the fire, the walls of the godown have been broken by JCB. The debris was taken out so that the fire could not flare up again in the godown.

Fire broke out in three godowns of foil and scrap

A sudden fire broke out in Anni Pandit’s foil godown located near Amarpura intersection of Jagdishpura area on late Sunday night at around 12:30 pm. The fire was so fierce that the entire godown started burning badly. The fire in the godown reached Deepak Gupta’s junk godown nearby. Due to which Deepak Gupta’s godown also caught fire. Two other godowns including the nearby foil godown also caught fire. In no time, the fire took a gigantic form.

Started extinguishing the fire. The shopkeepers were afraid that this fire might not reach their shop. The people living nearby also came out of their houses.

The information about the fire was given to the regional police. After which about 10 fire engines of the fire brigade reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire. The fire was completely controlled by around 4:00 am on Monday morning. During this, goods worth lakhs of rupees kept in the godown were burnt to ashes. After extinguishing the fire, the wall of the godown was broken by JCB. The debris was taken out on the possibility of fire again. Chief Fire Officer Devendra Kumar Singh said that the reason for the fire in the godown is believed to be a short circuit.
