Many miraculous incidents and stories are associated with this temple. It is said that this temple is more than 350 years old. Even the British had surrendered before the miracle of this temple. One legend that has stuck on people’s lips till date is that this temple has existed since the time when there was no trace of the British in the country. It is said that when the British came to the country, they wanted to demolish the temple and lay a railway line from here. But, he could not succeed and had to accept defeat and turn the railway track to save the temple, which still exists today.

Mahant Veerendranand of the temple tells that at that time the British officials tried several times to demolish the temple. He wanted to take the train passing through here absolutely straight. But, the temple was coming in the way. Because of this the British officials wanted to demolish this temple. The Mahant of the temple tells that at that time the British commander had come riding on a horse to demolish this temple. Due to the mother’s miracle, the horse fell and fractured its leg. The next day Goddess Maa came in the commander’s dream and warned that if anything was tampered with the temple then the consequences would be bad.

After that the British changed their mind. Ultimately the British authorities had to move the train tracks, which still exist in the same shape. Here the temple of Chamunda Devi is on platform number one. There is only two feet space in front of the temple from where only pedestrians can pass. The temple of Maa Chamunda Devi is present on platform number one Raja Ki Mandi. The railway track here is very winding, due to which the train coming from Delhi has to pass at a slow speed.

A few months ago, the Railways had pasted a notice to demolish the front part of this temple. People associated with Sanatan Dharma protested regarding this. Call it a miracle of the Mother that despite the efforts of the Railways, no part of the temple was demolished and the Railways changed its decision.

Then after hearing this information through news, a team of four people reached here from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. An army officer was also included among them. It is said that all of them had brought energy measuring instruments with them to see the miracle of Chamunda Devi in ​​the form of Mother Shakti in the temple. As soon as these four people entered the temple premises, their energy measuring device started vibrating and they got indications of positive energy.
