Mafias attacked the team that reached Bah Tehsil area of Agra on information about illegal mining. An attempt was made to crush them by JCB, in which the Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar and two home guards were injured. Based on the complaint of Tehsildar Pravesh Kumar, a case has been registered against eight people under serious sections in Jaitpur police station. Also, the District Magistrate of Agra reached Bah Tehsil on Friday and directed to take strict action against the mining mafia and solve the problems of the villagers.
The team had arrived on information
In fact, on Thursday, Bah Tehsil officials received information that illegal mining of soil was being done near Nahatoli canal of Jaitpur police station area. After which, on the basis of information, Tehsildar Pravesh Kumar reached the spot with his team. Where they recovered a tractor which was filled with soil. He took possession of the tractor and after moving a little further, he saw that soil was being dug by a JCB. In such a situation, the Tehsildar asked to stop the JCB but the driver started running away with the JCB.
When the Tehsildar along with his team started chasing him in the Bolero, the JCB driver turned the JCB and tried to crush the Tehsildar by hitting his car. But the Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar and other people present with him narrowly escaped the attack but suffered serious injuries.
Case registered against eight people
Tehsildar Pravesh Kumar said that due to darkness the JCB driver fled from the spot. Around seven tractors and one person were seized from the spot. After this, the injured Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar and two home guards arrived for medical treatment. After getting the medical done, Tehsildar Pravesh Kumar has lodged a complaint against the accused in Jaitpur police station. In which a case has been registered against eight people including the owner of the JCB machine under serious sections of illegal mining including fatal attack.
On Friday, Agra District Magistrate Bhanu Chand Goswami reached Bah tehsil. During this, he held a review meeting with the administrative officers and employees of the tehsil. In the meeting, DM has given instructions to the employees including SDM, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar. And it has been said that under no circumstances should there be illegal mining in the tehsil area. If someone does illegal mining then strict action should be taken against him.
