Agra: Awareness rally organized on World Population Day, Union Minister of State flagged off

Agra: An awareness rally was organized by the Health Department and Family Planning Department of Agra on World Population Day. This rally started from Agra College Ground. Through the rally, the health department employees made people aware about family planning. Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Professor SP Singh Baghel and Chief Medical Officer were also present in this rally. Along with this, all the students of the schools also participated in it.

When did world population day start

On July 11, 1989, the United Nations decided to celebrate ‘World Population Day’ by organizing a meeting. By July 11, 1987, the figure of world population had crossed 5 billion. Then it was decided to celebrate it globally to make people aware of the increasing population. The main reason for celebrating this day is that people should be made aware of the increasing population, so that situations like poverty, illiteracy and unemployment can be avoided.

In Agra, an awareness rally was organized by the Health Department, National Health Mission and Family Planning Department from Agar College Ground under the leadership of Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Professor SP Singh Baghel and Chief Medical Officer Arun Srivastava. In which people were made aware about family planning by the health workers. And it was told that how we can control the population and provide every facility to ourselves and other people of the society.

Union Minister of State Professor SP Singh Baghel said that people have been made aware of family planning through the rally. It was told about the use of means of family planning and how we can take forward the small family planning by using the means. If there is a small family then people will be educated. The family will be small and the population will be educated.

On population control law, the Union Minister of State said that many countries have made strict rules for population control. and implemented them. In the same way some changes have been made in the constitution in India also. And just as necessity is the mother of invention, in the same way effective laws can be implemented to control population if needed.
