Along with arranging the vehicles parked haphazardly in the parking lot, the lapcos were also chased away. Also, about five people were arrested by the police for harassing the tourists. Not even 24 hours had passed since the police action and the tourists coming to Taj Mahal again started getting troubled by the people. Let us tell you that due to Diwali holidays, thousands of tourists are flocking to Taj Mahal. On Tuesday, the police had to use force to resolve the situation. And ACP Taj Security Arib Ahmed himself reached the parking lot at the eastern and western gates of Taj Mahal to take care of the arrangements. During this time, many people were seen harassing the tourists. Whom the ACP chased away. After this, ACP held a meeting with the officials of Tourist Guide Welfare Association in the evening. President of the organization Deepak Daan said that instructions were issued in the meeting against the guides who run behind the tourists’ vehicles. Go inside the parking lot and talk to the tourists. He should not run after any tourist. Interact with tourists only from the designated place and the police will take action against those violating the rules to confiscate the guide license.
Scammers made Shilpgram a base
Let us tell you that buses stop in the parking lot located at Shilpgram near Taj Mahal. From here tourists reach Taj Mahal via golf cart. In such a situation, thieves have made Shilpgram their base. Whatever tourist bus comes, they run after it and force the tourists to buy the goods. You will see such incidents every day around the Taj Mahal. The then District Magistrate Prabhu Narayan Singh had taken strict action against the complaints of snatching. He had issued instructions that officers would inspect around the Taj Mahal from 5:30 in the morning. Due to this, the tourists coming in the morning were saved from getting caught. The police showed strictness for two days due to which Lapke disappeared for a few days.
Create Guide Facilitation Center for approved guides
ACP has set up guide facility centers at Shilpgram, Neem Tiraha and Fatehpur Sikri for approved guides. They were instructed that all the guides should contact the tourists from these centers only. Will not run after any tourist bus or tourist. Despite this, tourists are not getting relief from the hassles.
