Lok Sabha Election When some leaders of Bihar faced defeat in the elections, many of them looked for political ground outside Bihar. Many returned to their states from other states and established their political existence. Presently leaders like Shatrughan Sinha, Kirti Azad, Manoj Tiwari, Sanjay Nirupam, Deveshchandra Thakur and Meira Kumar are included in this list. BJP did not give ticket to famous film actor Shatrughan Sinha from Patna Sahib in 2019. He contested the elections on Congress ticket. He had to face defeat.

Bihari Babu, who was serving political exile, turned to Bengal. BJP MP and central minister Babul Supriyo had resigned from the post of MP and minister from Asansol. Mamata Banerjee’s party TMC fielded Shatrughan Sinha in the by-election from Asansol on the seat vacated by his resignation. He also won. The name of Kirti Azad, who was a member of the 1983 World Cup team, is also included in this list. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Kirti Azad contested from Darbhanga on BJP ticket and won. The party suspended him in 2015. In 2019 he joined Congress. The party made him its candidate from Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat of Jharkhand. He had to face defeat. After this he left Congress and joined Team AC. TMC has made him its candidate this time from Bardhaman Durgapur.

Manoj Tiwari went to Delhi, Sanjay Nirupam to Mumbai

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari traveled from Atarvaliya village of Kaimur district to Delhi. First contested elections from Samajwadi Party, but did not get success. BJP gave him ticket from North-East Delhi. He was successful in winning the elections. There are also reports of Manoj Tiwari wanting to contest elections from Buxar. Sanjay Nirupam from Aurangabad, Bihar played political innings with Shiv Sena and Congress in Mumbai. Represented both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha.

Deveshchandra Thakur returned from Maharashtra

JDU candidate from Sitamarhi Deveshchandra Thakur was active in student politics in Pune University. He also contested the student union elections from this university. Also elected Vice President of Maharashtra Youth Congress. Since 2002, he has been elected as MLC from Tirhut graduate level constituency. He was also made a minister in Nitish government. Presently he is also the Chairman of Bihar Legislative Council.

Meira Kumar became MP from Bijnor for the first time

Congress leader Meira Kumar was elected MP for the first time from Bijnor Lok Sabha seat of UP in 1985. He had defeated Ram Vilas Paswan in a tough contest. His political journey started from here. Then Meira Kumar returned to Bihar politics. Won twice from Sasaram seat. Became a central minister in 2004. Elected Speaker of Lok Sabha in 2014.
