After school in Bihar, now KK Pathak’s action on madrassa, recognition of 50 madrassas canceled, salary of many clerics stopped

Patna. KK Pathak’s education department is now seen in action on madrasas after schools. After irregularities were found in the investigation, recognition of many madrassas in Bihar has been cancelled. Recently, regarding Bihar, Union Minister Giriraj Singh had said that the government should get the madrassas and mosques of the state investigated, because many of them are running illegally. The recognition of a total of 50 Mardas in the state has been cancelled. Darbhanga district has the maximum number of madrassas among them. The recognition of a total of 32 madrassas here has been revoked. Not only this, the salaries of the clerics of these madrassas have also been stopped.

Recognition of 50 madrassas of the state canceled

Special Director of Secondary Education Sachindra Kumar has sent a letter to the Secretary of Bihar Madrasa Education Board. This action has been taken on the basis of the report of the three-member committee formed on the instructions of the High Court. The committee had investigated 142 madrassas. In this, orders have been given to cancel the recognition of 50 government madrassas of Kishanganj, East Champaran, Samastipur and Darbhanga. Of these, maximum 32 madrasas are from Darbhanga district. The Special Director has said in his letter that in the light of the order passed by the Patna High Court on January 24, 2023, the investigation report of the three-member committee constituted at the district level of the 2459 non-government approved plus one category madrasas subsidized under 9 It was sought in February 2023. This letter has been sent to the Secretary of Bihar Madrasa Board and it has been said that the salary and grant of 32 Madrasa teachers should be stopped for the time being. A major reason has come to light behind the cancellation of recognition of these madrassas.

The reason for canceling the recognition of these madrassas has also come to light. Actually, lack of infrastructure, land and distance of madrassas from the same level became the reason for derecognition of madrassas. The order was passed on January 24, 2023 in a petition filed by Mohammad Alauddin Bismil in a case CWJC 20406/2018 in Patna High Court. This action was taken on this order. In this light, investigation reports have been received from the districts. The committee formed at the departmental level inspected 142 madrassas of the state on September 26 and various dates. In the light of the committee’s recommendation, some madrassas were found lacking in the conditions of recognition like infrastructure, land, distance from madrassas of similar level etc. The committee had identified 50 such madrassas and recommended their de-recognition, after which their salary grants were immediately suspended. This action has created a stir among madrasa operators and teachers.

Nine madrassas of Samastipur included in the list

Madrasa Akhtarul Islam in Samthu, Ujiarpur block of Samastipur district, Madrasa Talimul Quran Niswan in Rampur of Warisnagar, Badrul Uloom in Bhairokhra Darji Tola of Tajpur, Madrasa Rahmaniya in Singhia Sonsa, Madrasa Jyul Uloom in Chhatauna Saratpur, Madrasa Azizul Uloom in Bande, Singhia Salepur. Action has been taken against Madrasa Mohammadia Rahmania in Balha and Madrasa Akhtarul Islam Khadiyahi in Vibhutipur.

Five madrasas of Kishanganj and four of East Champaran

Madrasa Ilamuldhani Vabhanaduba in Belwa, Kishanganj district, Madrasa Islaul Mosalmin in Chhattisgarh, Amlajhadi Madrasa Miswahul Uloom, Madrasa Islamia Faizul Gurban in Chaklaghat, Madrasa Fallahul Muslemin in Madhuban in East Champa, Madrasa Milate Nisawan in Sangrampur, Madrasa Milate Nisawan, Madrasa Milate Nisan, Jaitapur Ramgarh Malay Madrasa Islamia Salafi Madhopur has come under the scanner of action.
