With this, the total DA of central employees will increase to 45 percent.
Increase in dearness allowance applicable from July 1
This time the increase in dearness allowance will be applicable from July 1. However, no official announcement has been made by the government so far. But this has been estimated from the date of AICPI (All India consumer price index) index so far. The DA and DR rates for central government employees and pensioners change twice a year. The first expansion takes place in January and the second in July.
DA will increase by 3 percent
The DA rate is decided according to the AICPI index data released by the Labor Department. The central government will take a decision on this. From the figures so far, experts estimate that DA may increase by up to 3 percent.
At present, the benefit of 42 percent DA
Dues will also be available when the new rates are implemented from July 1. This will benefit 47 lakh central government employees and about 69 lakh pensioners. According to media reports, central employees are currently getting the benefit of 42 per cent DA, if there is a further increase of 3 per cent, DA will increase to 45 per cent.
Decision on DA in September
The Modi government can take a decision on this in September. Earlier in March, DA was increased by 4 percent. Then DA was increased from 38 percent to 42 percent.
How much will the salary increase from 45% DA?
If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18,000 and DA is 45 per cent, then he will get an increase of Rs 7,560 and if this increase is 46 per cent, he will get an increase of Rs 8,280.
