Flood Update: After heavy rains in Bihar, rivers are once again in spate. Traffic is affected due to the spread of water in the plains. The water level of rivers has been rising for the last three to four days. There has been a flood situation due to water descending from Jharkhand to Bihar region. Kova, Gerua, Bhaina, Ghogha etc. rivers coming from Jharkhand to Bihar are in spate. Flood situation has arisen due to water logging in the plains. Dozens of villages in Kahalgaon located in Bhagalpur have been flooded. The situation here is bad. Even the village people are now facing problems in transportation. Kariya, Saur, Jangalgopali of Kahalgaon block. The condition of many villages including Chaitola, Katoria, Banshipur is bad. Two to three feet of water is flowing at many places on the MGR road going from Kahalgaon to Jharkhand. Even paddy crops are being damaged. People are facing problems due to increase in the water level of rivers after the rains.
