After Gaya-Rajgir, now Ganga water will reach every house in Nawada, CM Nitish Kumar will inaugurate on this day

In the second phase of Ganga water supply scheme in Bihar, Ganga water will be supplied to every house in Nawada city. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate it on December 15 in Nawada. Water Resources Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha gave this information on Monday. On Monday, he inspected the site of the works of this scheme in Bhaura, Nawada and reviewed the preparations for the inauguration. During this, senior officials of the Water Resources Department including Additional Chief Secretary Chaitanya Prasad were present. Sanjay Jha said that under the Chief Minister’s far-reaching Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan, the concept of taking the flood water of river Ganga to water-stressed cities and using it as drinking water has been brought to the ground.

The first phase of the scheme was inaugurated in Gaya-Rajgir.

Sanjay Jha said that under the Ganga Water Supply Scheme, in the first phase, Ganga water is being supplied to every house in the form of pure drinking water in Gaya, Bodhgaya and Rajgir cities. The first phase of works was inaugurated by the Chief Minister in November 2022. This year, about two crore devotees who reached Rajgir Malmas fair and about 15 lakh devotees who reached Pitripaksha Mahasangam in Gayaji Dham also used Ganga water.

One lakh gallon water will be stored in the tank

Here, keeping in mind the possible program of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the district administration is busy finalizing the plans with full diligence. A construction official said that the construction of the underground tank in the city under the project is almost complete. 200 to 250 laborers are engaged on war footing to complete this construction. The construction work will be completed before the deadline. The construction work of the underground tank is almost complete. The length and width of this tank is 10.50/11.50 meters. The height of the underground tank is 23 feet. This tank is 18 feet below and 5 feet above the ground. A total of one lakh gallons of water will be collected in this water tank and water will be supplied to the old 23 wards of the city. The construction officer said that the new underground water tank that is being built will supply water to the already functioning tank and from there proper water arrangements will be made to the city.

Water posts are being built at many places

Along with this, water posts are being made at many places in the city, in which Ganga water will be supplied for drinking. Ganga water is being supplied as drinking water to homes inside the city through water treatment plants. DM Ashutosh Kumar Verma has given an ultimatum to the officials to finalize the plan. A water post has been made inside the city near the block office, near Bhagat Singh Chowk, Collectorate Prajatantra Chowk and near the Information Public Relations Office. Through the supply here, Ganga water will be available to the common people as drinking water.

Pipeline laying work completed

The work of laying pipeline by digging a pit in the ground to supply water to the water post has been completed. After making a water poster, tiles, marble etc. have been installed in it. Water tape has been installed in the water posts built inside the city. With this, Ganga water will be cleaned and made available to the common people for drinking. A water treatment plant has been built in Paura village of Sadar block, from where Ganga water will be filtered and supplied to people’s homes for drinking. The district administration has given the task to finalize the plan. All the officers are busy to complete this. Officials are working day and night to complete the construction work inside the city. Municipal Council officials said that the water post construction work for drinking water supply has almost been completed. The passenger shed built near Prajatantra Chowk is being repaired.

Collectorate premises to be renovated

The Collectorate complex is also being brightened up regarding the Chief Minister’s program. Apart from the board installed at the main entrance, the office inside the complex is also being given a beautiful look. It is possible that the Chief Minister’s convoy will stop near the Collectorate. The filter plant of the water supply scheme in Paura village is to be inaugurated through this route. Administration officials are seen repairing all the arrangements on this route. Cleanliness and necessary arrangements are being made inside all the offices in the Collectorate premises.

Task has been given to provide water to homes

Under the water supply scheme, the DM has given the task to PHED and officials of related departments to successfully run the Ganga water supply scheme to all the houses. Water will be supplied to all the houses through four sump houses built in the city. The DM has given time till Monday to repair and finalize the constructed sump house.

Involved in dream project

Under the Chief Minister’s dream project Ganga Water Project, Ganga water will be supplied to every house in the city. Water will be brought to the underground tank from the water plant being built in Paura. And through this tank, Ganga water will be delivered to people’s homes. The construction of the tank has been going on continuously for the last 6 months. For water supply, two transformers have been installed inside the premises for a special project. Supply from the transformer will be given only in the project. So that you do not have to face any kind of problem in the future. And Ganga water can be supplied smoothly. Will be completed before the given period. The probable date of arrival of the Chief Minister is fixed for 15th December, for which it will be handed over on 12th December.
