After 57 years, what did the Congress do in Gwalior that the BJP was alerted! learn here

Elections are going to be held in Madhya Pradesh later this year. BJP has started preparing for this. In this sequence, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will release the ‘report card’ of Madhya Pradesh government on Sunday. After this, Shah will preside over the working committee meeting of BJP in Gwalior, the constituency of Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

According to the programme, veteran BJP leader Amit Shah will reach the capital Bhopal on Sunday morning and will issue the ‘report card’ of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government. Regarding Shah’s visit, Madhya Pradesh BJP media cell head Ashish Aggarwal told that after this Shah will leave for Gwalior from Bhopal where he will address the working committee meeting.

According to the news circulating in the media quoting sources, BJP MLAs, MPs, district presidents and general secretaries have been asked to reach Gwalior. Around 1,500 office-bearers have been called for the meeting and it is expected that the party will present its final plan for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly elections. This will be the last meeting of the State Working Committee before the elections. Elections are to be held in the state later this year.

BJP trying to do well in Gwalior and Chambal region

If political observers are to be believed, BJP is trying to do well in Gwalior and Chambal region. After losing the mayor’s election to Congress in Gwalior last year after 57 years, BJP wants to increase its base in this area. This is going to be Shah’s second visit to Madhya Pradesh in less than a month, due to which the politics of the state has heated up. Earlier on July 30, Shah had visited Indore, where he spoke to the booth level workers.

Why BJP does not want to take risk in Gwalior

Let us tell you that in the 2018 assembly elections, Congress won 26 out of 34 seats in Gwalior and Chambal region, then Jyotiraditya Scindia was in Congress and was appealing to the public to vote in favor of Congress. The Congress could win only seven out of 19 seats in the November 2020 bypolls in the Gwalior and Chambal regions, after Scindia defected to the BJP along with his close aides. A political observer said that after the setback in the mayoral election in Gwalior last year, the BJP now does not want to take any risk.

Congress became the attacker

Let us discuss here that assembly elections are going to be held in Madhya Pradesh at the end of this year. Before this, Congress is not leaving any chance to target the ruling party BJP. Congress is giving special focus on its core voter i.e. tribal vote bank. In the last election, the Congress came to power after fifteen years. However, after this, in March 2020, Jyotiraditya Scindia rebelled against the Congress, due to which the Kamal Nath government fell and Shivraj Singh Chouhan again took charge of the state.

Congress is focusing on Gwalior

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has addressed the rally in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Targeting the BJP, he had said that there is a widespread wave of change in the state and people will get five guarantees if the Congress government is formed. Priyanka reiterated the party’s five guarantees for the people of Madhya Pradesh if the Congress comes to power, including the restoration of the old pension scheme (OPS) for government employees. Let us tell you that in the last 40 days, this second visit of Priyanka Gandhi to Madhya Pradesh took place last month. The Congress General Secretary had said these things during the ‘Jan Aakrosh’ rally in Gwalior, the home constituency of Union Minister and former Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Jyotiraditya Scindia’s statement came to the fore after Priyanka Gandhi’s statement. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had said that whoever comes to Gwalior. He is welcome. He said about Priyanka Gandhi that perhaps she has come here for the first time. He was welcomed and felicitated…but the other people who were on the stage came and went like guests. He did not see the development of Gwalior. The governments of CM Shivraj and PM Modi are focused on development. Everyone is the witness of the changing Gwalior. We worked here even during the Corona period.
