AFCAT 2024: Indian Air Force (IAF) is releasing the notification for AFCAT 01 2014 (Air Force Common Admission Test) soon on the official website afcat.cdac.in. A total of 317 vacancies will be filled for Flying, Ground Duty (Technical), Ground Duty (Non-Technical) and Flying branches. Applications will also be invited for NCC Special Entry Scheme (for flying branch).
Online application for appearing in the examination is expected to start from 01 December. The last date for submission of applications is 30th December. The date of examination will be announced in the notification. This course will start in January 2025.

AFCAT 1 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Flying Branch: 12th with 50% marks in Mathematics and Physics and Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized university. OR BE/B.Tech degree or equivalent with minimum 60% marks. OR Candidates who have passed Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with minimum 60 marks. % marks or equivalent.
Ground Duty:
aeronautical engineer – 12th with 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics and Graduation/Integrated Post Graduate qualification in Engineering/Technology or passed Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society. India or Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers by actual study with minimum 60% marks or equivalent in the relevant subjects.
Administration – 12th with minimum 60% marks and Graduation or equivalent or passed Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
Education – 12th with 50% marks in any discipline and integrated courses offering Post Graduation, PG (single degree without allowing exit and lateral entry) and Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks.
logistics – Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks or equivalent or passed Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
NCC – Minimum 60% marks each in Mathematics and Physics in 10+2. Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline with minimum 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized university or BE/B.Tech degree (four years course) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized university. OR Candidates who have passed Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
