Advocate Amendment Bill approved by Parliament, female advocate Chhaya Mishra responded

Patna. On the first day of the winter session of Parliament, the Lok Sabha gave its approval to the Advocates (Amendment) Bill. Let us tell you that it was passed by the Rajya Sabha in the monsoon session itself. Now it has also been approved by the Parliament. Senior Women Advocate of Patna High Court and Vice President of Advocates Association, Mrs. Chhaya Mishra has expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal for this much awaited Act. Chhaya Mishra has told that since 2014, she has been continuously demanding a law for the protection of lawyers. After this it has now been approved.

Advocate had requested to make law

Chhaya Mishra had also requested Sushil Kumar Modi, Chairman of the Standing Committee of Parliament’s Law and Justice Ministry, to make such a law. At the same time, now this bill will be sent to the President for approval. According to its provisions, brokers (touts) who influence lawyers, judges and various parties. This will be taken out. Lawyers will be given security in their professional work. The Legal Practitioners Act, 1879 and the Advocates Act, 1961 have been amended. Section 36 of the Legal Practitioners Act has been deleted. New section 45 has been added. Now regulation of legal profession will be effective.
