According to the ADR report, all the 13 surveyed have reported serious criminal cases in their affidavits, including murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, etc.

Election affidavits of 30 chief ministers of the country were analyzed

According to ADR and Election Watch, they have come to this conclusion after analyzing the election affidavits of chief ministers of the present 30 states and union territories. These include chief ministers of 28 states and two union territories – Delhi and Puducherry. Of the 30 chief ministers whose election affidavits were analysed, 29 (97 per cent) are crorepatis and their average assets are Rs 33.96 crore.
