ADR Report: Criminal cases against 41 MPs of Bihar, know how many MPs are billionaires in ADR report

New Delhi. About 40 percent of the country’s sitting MPs have criminal cases registered against them, out of which 25 percent have serious criminal cases registered against them. This information has been given by ADR. ADR said that the average value of assets of each MP of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha is Rs 38.33 crore. Of these, 53 (7%) are billionaires. The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and National Election Watch made this announcement after analyzing the self-affidavits of 763 sitting MPs from 776 seats in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

This figure has been extracted from the affidavits filed by the MPs. According to ADR, out of 763 sitting MPs analyzed, 306 (40%) MPs have reported criminal cases against themselves. Of these, cases related to murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, crimes against women etc. are registered against 194 MPs.

Criminal case against 23 out of 29 Kerala MPs

Among the members of both Houses, 23 (79%) out of 29 MPs from Kerala, 41 (73%) out of 56 MPs from Bihar, 37 (57%) out of 65 MPs from Maharashtra have declared criminal cases against them in their affidavits. Have done. 28 (50%) of Bihar and 37 (34%) of Uttar Pradesh have given information about serious criminal cases in their self-affidavits.

Case of murder against 11 MPs and attempt to murder against 32

Eleven sitting MPs of the country have declared cases related to murder, 32 sitting MPs have declared cases related to attempt to murder, while 21 sitting MPs have declared cases related to crimes against women. Out of these 21 MPs, four MPs have declared cases related to rape.

Richest Telangana MP

The state with the highest average assets per MP is Telangana (24 MPs), whose average assets are Rs 262.26 crore. It is followed by Andhra Pradesh (36 MPs), whose average asset is Rs 150.76 crore, followed by Punjab (20 MPs) where the average asset of MPs is Rs 88.94 crore.
