Kanpur, The process of PhD admission for the new session in Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University is starting from 8th June. The University has released the notification for PhD Admission for the upcoming session. Candidates can apply for the concerned subject by visiting the website of the university. It will be mandatory for the applying candidates to register on the university website. CSJMU’s Dean, Research and Development Dr. Anuradha Kalani told that this year admission can be applied for PhD in 112 seats in 43 subjects. Students wishing to apply can register themselves by visiting the website of the university.

The fee for registration has been fixed at Rs 2500 for general and OBC and Rs 1500 for SC and ST. The last date for registration has been fixed as 07 July. The entrance exam will be conducted on 30th July. The result of the entrance test will be declared on 16th August. This time dependents of martyr families and single girl child will be able to get additional seat in PhD course. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak has directed at the departmental level in this regard that a provision should be made to give one seat to the dependents of martyr families and single girl child in all the courses being conducted.
There will be provision for additional seat
For the first time this arrangement has been made in the PhD course in the university. Along with this, provision of additional seat has also been made for special child. The duration of PhD entrance exam will be of 90 minutes. In which candidates will answer 70 questions. The center of this entrance examination to be held on the objective pattern has been decided at the university campus. For the convenience of the candidates, an e-mail has also been issued by the Research and Development Cell.
