Jharkhand Government has given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Home Affairs and Disaster Management Department to Indian Administrative Service officer Avinash Kumar. Except for the Disaster Management Division, he will be in additional charge of this department. At present Mr. Kumar is the Additional Chief Secretary of Energy Department. Apart from this, the Chairman of Jharkhand Energy Development Corporation Limited and the Managing Director of Jharkhand Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited are also in charge. The Personnel Department has issued its notification.
Earlier Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rajeev Arun Ekka was in charge of the Principal Secretary, Home Department. When Mr. Ekka’s picture came to the fore in the matter of handling files sitting in a private place, the government removed him from the Home Department and made him the Principal Secretary of the Panchayati Raj Department. After this, Vandana Dadel was given the charge of the Principal Secretary of the Home Department. Mrs. Dadel is the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. He is also in charge of the cabinet department.
Promotion to two other IPS of 2009 batch except Dhanbad SP
The state government on Wednesday promoted 2009 batch IPS Indrajit Mahatha and Sanjay Ranjan Singh to the rank of DIG. Giving promotion, Indrajit Mahtha, commandant of Zap-02, has been made STF DIG. On the other hand, Sanjay Ranjan Singh has been sent to Jharkhand Police Academy Hazaribagh from the post of Commandant of IRB-02 Musabani. The notification related to the posting of both the IPS officers has been issued by the Home Department. While IPS Sanjeev Kumar of the same batch has not been promoted to the rank of DIG. He is currently holding the post of Dhanbad SSP.
