Action taken against auto drivers after road accident, who will take care of children, 15 to 16 children being transported in school vehicle

Agra : Recently, 6 people died tragically in a road accident. The traffic department woke up and found that wherever in the city autos and other commercial vehicles were carrying more passengers than the norm. Strict action started against them. On one hand, action is being taken against auto drivers for providing more passengers than the standard. At the same time, children are being crammed into vehicles parked outside schools during holidays. In most of the schools, you will see double the number of children sitting in the vans, Eeco and many autos parked outside the schools during the holidays. These vehicles pass through the main intersection and main road of Agra every day. But they do not pay attention to the traffic police. According to the Transport Department, Echo, a van running on the roads in Agra, can accommodate only 7 or 8 passengers as per the standard. Apart from this, four people including the driver can sit in a three-wheeler auto. But these vehicles, which carry children from hundreds of schools in Agra, defy the standards and carry 15 to 16 children to and from school.

School vehicles are becoming victims of accidents every day

The situation becomes such that children are sitting one above the other in the vehicles and the situation becomes worse during summer. When these school vehicles get stuck in traffic jams, the children become drenched in sweat. And a situation of suffocation also arises in the car. But neither their families nor the traffic police are concerned about these small lives. Many times school vehicles have become victims of minor accidents in the district. There are many vehicles which are not fit. The registration has ended and the insurance has also ended. But these vehicles galloping on the road carrying school children are playing with their lives. Any major accident may occur due to this in future.

Police fixed the responsibility of school operators

When information was taken from ACP Traffic Areeb Ahmed, he said that continuous action is being taken against commercial vehicles carrying common people. No vehicle will run on the road contrary to the standard. If more children than the norm are being seated in the vehicles carrying school children. So strict action will be taken against them also by running a campaign. Along with this, it is the responsibility of the school operators to explain to the parents of the children that before sending their children in any vehicle, they should decide how many children are going in that vehicle. If any van, eco or auto driver is making children sit in excess of the standard, then do not let this happen. So that your child will remain safe.

Family members were counseled several times

President of APSA (Association of Progressive Schools of Agra) Sushil Gupta said that the family members have been counseled several times. They have been explained to keep an eye on the vehicles in which they send their children to school. Is the driver playing with your child’s life? More children than the standard are not being seated in the vehicle. But parents are playing with the lives of their children in the greed of less money. Along with this, it is also the responsibility of the police administration to take strict legal action against those vehicles which are carrying more children than the standard.
