There is good news for the patients coming for treatment at IGIMS Institute in Patna city. Because now doctors will treat patients better by using machines and software. Artificial intelligence will be used here for better treatment. The institute administration has taken this decision in view of increasing the quality of treatment. For this, an MoU was signed on Monday between IGIMS administration and development organization Center for Development of Advance Computing (C-DAC), Patna. In such a situation, now both the institutes together will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the development of many deadly diseases and medicines including cancer and treat patients. Both the institutes under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology signed this MoU.
Will be effective for both patients and institutions
IGIMS Deputy Director Dr. Manish Mandal said that the MoU was signed on Monday in the presence of Institute’s Director Dr. Binde Kumar, C-DAC Patna Director Aditya Kumar Sinha and C-DAC Director General E. Magesh. Dr. Manish said that the use of artificial intelligence will help a lot in the health sector in preparing medical databases, maintenance of equipment, reducing staff shortage and increasing laboratory facilities, early detection of diseases, diagnosis etc. This will prove to be very effective for both the patient and the institution.
