Lucknow: Mukhtar Ansari’s son Mau MLA Abbas Ansari left for Kasganj jail from Ghazipur on Saturday. On the orders of the Supreme Court, his father had come to attend the Fatiha of Mukhtar on 10th April. Apart from this, he was allowed to meet his family on 11 and 12 April. On 13 April, there were orders to send him back to Kasganj jail. Under this, jail administration Abbas Ansari left for Kasganj Jail from Ghazipur.
Mukhtar Ansari died on 28 March
Mukhtar Ansari died of a heart attack on March 28 at Banda Medical College. Abbas Ansari could not attend his father’s funeral due to being lodged in Kasganj jail. He had sought permission from the High Court and the Supreme Court to attend the funeral. But the application could not be heard. Now there is Fatiha (special prayer) of Mukhtar Ansari on 10th April. The lawyers of jailed MLA Abbas Ansari had filed an amended petition in the Supreme Court seeking permission to participate in Fateha. After hearing this petition, the Supreme Court has granted interim bail of three days to Abbas Ansari.
The cemetery was monitored with a drone
After breaking fast at 6.17 pm on April 10, Abbas Ansari reached the graveyard at 7.05 pm. After reciting Fatiha there for about 15 to 20 minutes, he was taken back to Ghazipur jail. Along with Abbas, MP Afzal Ansari, MLA Suhaib Ansari, Mukhtar Ansari’s younger son Amar Ansari and others were present at the cemetery. During this time, the cemetery was being monitored through drones. Besides, police and para military forces were also deployed.
