Aav dekha na taav… Punched on the pilot, high voltage drama in IndiGo, now preparations are being made for action.

Delay in flights is common in cold weather, but what would it be called if a passenger attacks the pilot for this delay. Something similar happened in Delhi airport. Where a passenger lost his temper and punched the pilot. The high voltage drama continued inside the Indigo plane for a long time. The air hostess kept appealing for calm but the passenger’s anger was at its peak. He immediately attacked the pilot… the alleged video of the incident is going viral on social media. In the video, a passenger named Sahil Kataria is clearly seen attacking the pilot who was making announcements inside the plane going to Goa.

Bad conduct is not acceptable- Jyotiraditya Scindia
Regarding the incident, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has said that bad conduct of passengers is not acceptable under any circumstances. He said that this conduct will be dealt with strictly as per the existing provisions of law. According to Scindia, in view of the cancellation of flights and delay in their operations due to bad weather, DGCA has directed all airlines to issue a standard operating procedure SOP for better communication with passengers and to avoid inconvenience to them. In a statement, the airline said Kataria assaulted the co-pilot and the matter has been referred to an independent internal committee to include the passenger in the no-fly list.

The accused passenger was arrested
Regarding the incident, the police said that the co-pilot and other security personnel of flight number 6E 2175 between Delhi and Goa have complained against the accused Sahil Kataria for assaulting and misbehaving with the pilot in the flight. The complaint states that Kataria misbehaved and hit co-pilot Anup Kumar. They also created ruckus inside the plane. Police said that the passenger had lost his temper due to the flight being delayed by more than an hour. Police said that a case has been registered against the accused person under sections 323, 341 and 290 of the Indian Penal Code as well as section 22 of the Aircraft Rules and investigation has been started.

Flights getting delayed due to bad weather
It is noteworthy that the weather is very harsh in the entire North India. Flights are getting delayed due to cold as well as fog. Even today i.e. on Monday, the routes of five flights arriving at Delhi airport were changed due to bad weather. An official said that between 1 am and 5 am, four flights were diverted to Jaipur and one flight was sent to Ahmedabad. He said that earlier on Sunday also the route of 10 flights was changed.
