A village in Jharkhand, whose name was objectionable, the villagers used to feel very shy in telling it, now they tell this name without any hesitation.

Relief from new naming

The name of this village in Deoghar district of Jharkhand was Bho. People used to laugh after seeing this name of the village in caste, residential and income certificates. The youth of the new generation decided to change these problems that had been going on for years and took the help of the Panchayat. Ranjit Kumar Yadav, the then Gram Panchayat head of Banka Panchayat, called a meeting of the Gram Sabha for the new name in all the government documents of the village. A proposal to change the old name of the village to the new name Masuria was unanimously passed. The village was specifically entered in the name of Masuria in the documents including all government offices. Now the name of Masuria village has also been registered in the website of the Revenue Department.
