A Raja Statement: Controversial statement of DMK MP A Raja

In a meeting organized by the party, MP A Raja is reportedly seen saying that it should be understood well that India has never been a nation. Represents one nation, one language, one tradition and one culture. Only such characteristics make a nation. He said what is the reason? Here Tamil is one nation and one country. Malayalam is one language, one nation and one country. Oriya is one nation, one language and one country. All such national categories constitute India, so India is not a country, it is a subcontinent with different customs, traditions and cultures. Raja said that there is one culture in Tamil Nadu and another culture in Kerala. Similarly, Delhi, Odisha, Manipur and Kashmir have different cultures. Every culture has to be recognized. This is unity in diversity. There are differences between us and it has to be accepted.

Insult of Hindu Gods reflects political agenda of ‘India’ alliance: BJP

The BJP on Tuesday targeted the opposition ‘India’ alliance over DMK leader A Raja’s alleged remarks against Hindutva. Said that publicly insulting the ethos of India and insulting Hindu Gods and Goddesses has become the hallmark of his political agenda. Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, while referring to the statement of DMK MP Raja, claimed that this is Maoist ideology. Raja also claimed that if this is your Jai Shri Ram, if this is your Bharat Mata ki Jai, then we will never accept Jai Shri Ram and Bharat Mata. Demanded that other constituents of the opposition alliance come forward and say whether they agree with the DMK leader’s comments. We strongly condemn such comments.
