About a dozen people died in different road accidents in Bihar on Wednesday. Near Tekari petrol pump located in Sivasagar police station area of Rohtas district, at around 3 am on Wednesday, an uncontrollable Scorpio hit a container standing on the NH bank from behind. The Scorpio entered the container about five feet deep. In this horrific accident, seven people of the same family died on the spot and five people including the relative driver were injured. All the injured were given first aid and referred to Banaras. The dead include parents of a family, a daughter, a son, two nieces and mother-in-law.
Bus and pickup van collided in Patna
A bus and a pickup van collided on the forelane near Ranipur Paizaba of Bypass police station in Patna at around 4.30 am on Wednesday. The driver and passenger of the pickup van were injured in this incident. Both the injured have been admitted to the hospital by the police. The traffic police have seized both the vehicles and are investigating the matter. According to the traffic police, the bus coming from Darbhanga to Patna hit a pickup van laden with vegetables. The front part of the pickup van was damaged in the head-on collision. Traffic Police Inspector RK Yadav said that the driver of the pickup van, Chunky, and the helper, Manish, resident of Maroofganj Kaimashikoh mohalla of Malsalami police station area, have been injured in the accident. The good thing is that the passengers in the bus remained safe after the accident. Inspector said that both the vehicles have been confiscated. Due to the accident, there was a traffic jam on the four-lane NH for more than an hour. Due to this, vehicles were moving with difficulty.
Motorcycle and pickup collision in Ara
A 30-year-old youth was badly injured in a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup near Gaura Mor on the Gadhani-Agiaon road in the Gadhani police station area of Arrah. The injured youth is said to be a resident of Gadhani. It is being told that the injured youth was returning to Gadhani after leaving his wife at Agiaon for Raksha Bandhan, when there was a fierce collision with an uncontrolled pickup near Gaura Mod, in which the youth was badly injured. After the accident, the administration took him to Gadhani PHC. After providing first aid there, he was sent to Ara by ambulance. Seeing the bad condition, he has been sent to Patna PMCH for better treatment than Ara Sadar Hospital.
Woman dies after being hit by bike in Samastipur
A woman died after being hit by a motorcycle on NH 322 of Vyaspur village of Halai OP area in Samastipur on Tuesday night. His identity was late. The fifty-year-old daughter of Ramdev Rai has been portrayed as Phuleshwari Devi. It is said that she had come from her in-laws house Adharpur to her maternal home Vyaspur Bikrampur village for Rakshabandhan. Got seriously injured after being hit by a bike while crossing the road at night. While the local people took him to the hospital for treatment, he died due to excessive bleeding.
Disabled person dies after being hit by truck in Motihari
A handicapped person died in a road accident near Bhithaan petrol pump of Mofihari police station in Motihari. Another person was injured. The locals caught hold of the truck and handed over the driver to the police. The deceased is said to be Ranjay Ram, a resident of Dumra of Kotwa police station. Police Station Officer Avnish Kumar said that Ranjan Ram was going home on a bike with one of his companions, Nitesh Kumar, where a truck hit him from behind near a petrol pump, where Ranjay Ram died on the spot.
Horrific road accident in Jamui, truck driver dies
In Jamui, near Bhalua on Jhajha-Sono main road, a driver died inside the vehicle in a face-to-face collision between two trucks on Wednesday morning. While the driver and co-driver of the other vehicle are seriously injured and undergoing treatment. Local people said that after the collision of the two vehicles, there was a very loud noise. Due to this, people nearby hurriedly came out of the house and informed the police on number 112. The deceased driver in the incident is Dinesh Yadav, son of Jhakho Yadav, resident of Jinhara-Mohanpur of Lakshmipur police station area. The injured are Sajaol Khan and Safful Khan, residents of Bhabhua district. Local people said that the collision was so severe that a vehicle was blown to pieces. The driver got buried in the car itself. People tried to free the driver trapped in the vehicle. But by then he had died. The body of the driver trapped in the steering was removed from the JCB by breaking the body of the truck along with its engine. The driver’s chest was pressed against the steering wheel. Three people, including a couple riding a bike, were seriously injured when they were hit by a speeding luxury vehicle near Manjhave village on the Jamui-Lakhisarai main road on Wednesday evening. The injured include Siyaram Turi, resident of Malaypur in Malaypur police station area of the district, his wife Kalpana Kumari and his brother-in-law Ranveer Turi.
Woman injured in late night truck accident in Bhagalpur
A truck hit a woman walking on the road at around 11.30 pm on Wednesday night on Mirjan Road under Mojahidpur police station area in Bhagalpur. The woman was badly injured in the incident. After this a crowd of local people gathered there. People stopped the truck and informed the police. The injured woman was taken to a private clinic in Aliganj. Here, the police has seized the truck. His documents are being examined.
Magic and auto collision in Patna’s Khusrupur
Two youths sitting in the auto were injured in a collision between a Tata Magic and an auto on the Fatuha-Bakhtiyarpur State Highway in Khirodharpur under Khusrupur police station area of Patna on Wednesday. The auto was going towards Fatuhan, meanwhile an uncontrolled Magic car hit it from behind. The villagers of Khirodharpur hurriedly took the injured youth to Fatuha Government Hospital, where after treatment he was referred to NMCH in Patna. The injured person has been identified as Rohit Kumar (16 years), son of Sanjay Rai and Bhim (16 years), son of Bharat Rai. Both are said to be residents of Gadhachak Fatuhan.
