There is an atmosphere of commotion in the country’s capital Delhi today. In fact, the talks regarding other demands including legal guarantee of minimum support price (MSP) for crops did not yield any results. Two Union Ministers were leading this conversation with the farmers. After the talks remained inconclusive, farmers are marching towards Delhi, in view of which extensive security arrangements have been made. Things related to farmers movement at a glance
In view of the farmers marching towards Delhi, one or more entry and exit gates have been closed at eight stations of Delhi Metro. However, these stations are not closed and passengers are able to enter and exit through other gates.
-Delhi government has rejected the Centre’s proposal to convert Bawana Stadium into a temporary jail in view of the farmers’ march in the national capital. Delhi Home Minister Kailash Gehlot has written a letter to Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar in this regard and has refused to give permission.
