The police has been alerted following the instructions of the Election Commission regarding the Lok Sabha elections. Vehicles are being strictly checked at the checkposts of UP-Bihar. Kuchaykot police got a big success during the vehicle inspection on Friday. Police have seized Rs 9 lakh 91 thousand 500 cash along with three weapons and 15 bullets from the Fortuner vehicle. At the same time, five people from Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh who were traveling in the vehicle have been detained, who are being interrogated by the police of Kuchaykot police station.
SP Swarn Prabhat said that during the vehicle check, Kuchaikot police station has detained five people from the Fortuner vehicle. Three weapons, 15 bullets and cash have been recovered from these people. The detained people are being interrogated. According to the police, all these people are residents of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. While going from Gujarat to Assam, police took action at Balthari check post located in Gopalganj, UP-Bihar.
The people caught by the police have been identified as Dinesh Singh, resident of New India Colony in Ahmedabad district of Gujarat, Shailesh Bhai, resident of Katarbatta in Banskata district of Gujarat, Ashwini Kumar, resident of Makwana in Bhav Nagar police station area of Kathiyabarh district, besides resident of Bhind in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh. Ravikant Sharma and Bhagirath Singh, a priest resident of Bhind district. Police said that these people had talked about going to some temple in Assam.
At the same time, SP says that all the people caught are being interrogated. The weapons seized till now are said to be double-barreled and single-barreled. After the action, the police have increased the strictness in checking vehicles at the check post.
