Before Holi, railway officers and other personnel were having a liquor party in a room of the Power House located near Patna Junction. Meanwhile, on receiving secret information, the Excise Department team raided the power house on Saturday. To catch everyone together, the team surrounded the power house from all sides and then arrested five engineers, two helpers and a fitter who were involved in the liquor party. Taking action in the matter, everyone was suspended on Sunday. A case has been registered against everyone in the Excise Police Station under Section 37 of the Bihar Excise Act.
Railway workers got bail
After their arrest, all the railway employees were presented in the Special Excise Court from where all of them got bail. All these railway officers and employees deposited the fine amount in the court. The railway administration took the issue of liquor party seriously. Now departmental action will also be taken against all these.
The product department team had caught these people
On Saturday, on the occasion of Holi, senior branch officer Sanjay Kumar Singh, Avinash Adhikari, Chandan Kumar, Gautam Kumar, Praveen Kumar Toppa along with two helpers Ritesh Kumar, Rakesh Kumar and fitter Virendra Kumar were sitting in the room of the power house and drinking alcohol. Meanwhile, the excise department team conducted a raid and caught these people.
10 were arrested, drinking of 2 people not confirmed
The product team had arrested 10 people including five senior officials of the railway branch, two helpers and a fitter. Everyone was taken to the Product Police Station where they were tested with a breath analyzer. In this investigation, the drinking of alcohol of eight people was confirmed, while the drinking of one senior branch officer and one JE was not confirmed. Both of them were released.
