The government presented the report of the caste survey in Bihar in the legislature and based on this report, the scope of reservation in the state was increased from 60 percent to 75 percent. After passing the amendment bill related to it in the Bihar Legislature on November 10, it was sent to the Governor for approval. The Governor approved it and the government implemented the new scope of reservation for government jobs and admissions in the entire state. On one hand, there is political turmoil in Bihar regarding the new scope of reservation, while on the other hand, it has now been challenged in the court. An application has been filed in the Patna High Court against the new scope of reservation. Its constitutional validity has been challenged by filing a PIL.
